Sponsorship of Adopted Children and Other Relatives

Index

Intro

Sponsorship of Adopted Children and other relatives is a program that allows family members living in different countries to reunite and live together in Canada. The program allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents to bring their children from abroad to Canada and make them permanent residents. Adopted children, whether natural or adopted, can become permanent residents of Canada and live with their parents.

FAQ

Q: How to calculate family size?

A: The amount of LICO each year depends on the number of family members. For example:
Family member of sponsors: sponsor + spouse = 2 persons
Adopted Child:1 person (If only 1 person is adopted)
Family size = 2 + 1 = 3 persons

Q: What is the processing time for it?

A: please check our weekly processing time updates.
