What is BCPNP Entrepreneur Immigration

BC Entrepreneur Immigration is suitable for entrepreneurs who can support innovation and economic growth in BC. Applicants must have entrepreneurial experience, meet certain investment requirements, and be able to actively operate a business in BC. They can be nominated by BC. achieve the purpose of immigrating to Canada.

Entrepreneur immigration in BC is usually divided into two categories: Base Category and Regional Pilot. This article will provide information on regional pilot projects. The Regional pilot program aims to attract entrepreneurs from around the world to create businesses in remote areas of British Columbia, which will help meet the economic development needs of remote communities and encourage investment in areas outside the city.

The BCPNP Regional Entrepreneur Immigration Pilot Program has specific requirements for communities that can participate in the program:

• Community population must be less than 75,000;
• The location is 30 kilometers away from a town with a population of more than 75,000;
• Communities must demonstrate their ability to support foreign entrepreneurs through established business support and settlement services.

BCPNP Entrepreneur Immigration Requirements

1. General requirements:

• Management: Applicants must demonstrate active day-to-day management of the business at their BC business premises;
• Residency: The applicant must prove that he or she has been living in the remote area where the business was founded in accordance with the performance agreement, and that he actually lived there for at least 75% of the time during the work permit period;

2. Personal requirements:

• Status: Applicants must have legal status;
• Personal net worth: Personal net worth of at least CAD 300,000, which can include the assets of your spouse/partner and their children;
• Management experience:
  • The applicant has at least three years of active business owner management experience in a company holding 10% or more of the equity in the past five years; or
  • The applicant has worked for the business/organization as an executive (no equity or less than 10% equity) for more than four years in the past five years, managing at least three full-time employees, in an occupational category of NOC 0 or A; or
  • At least one year of business owner management experience + two years of executive experience;
• Education:
  • Possess a higher education qualification (such as a degree, diploma or certificate from a licensed higher education institution); or
  • At least three years of business owner management experience in a 100%-owned enterprise in the past five years, 100% of the enterprise’s equity can be jointly owned by the applicant, his/her spouse/partner and their children;
• Language: English or French at a language level of CLB 4;

3. Enterprise requirements:

• Must be a new business venture in a community participating in the pilot project in BC and aligned with one of the economic development priorities identified by the community;
• Applicants must demonstrate that they hold at least 51% of their shares in a newly established business in BC;

4. Minimum investment requirements:

Applicants must make a personal investment of at least $100,000 in the proposed business within 610 days of landing in BC on a BCPNP-supported work permit;

5. Employment Requirements:

Within 365 days from the date of the applicant’s landing, at least one long-term full-time job must be created in the proposed business for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
