Application Requirements

• Must hold a valid study permit;
• The intended work must be an integral part of the study programme;
• work as part of study must be officially recognised by the school; and
• Internships cannot exceed 50% of the program of study.

Note that some projects cannot apply for an internship work permit:

• Program for learning English and French (ESL/FSL).
• International students on General interest courses.
• Courses in preparation for entry into other programs of study.

Submission Method

• The internship work permit can be submitted at the same time as the study permit.
• Usually submitted online, all materials only need to be scanned, and the large sign will be mailed directly from IRCC to the applicant’s address by ordinary mail.
